About me and how Balance you came to be

I am a mom of 2, a step mom of 4, and a Mimi of 6. The things I enjoy most are spending time with family, quiet mornings with a cup of coffee, hikes to watch the sunrise, and building a business that doesn't feel like "work."

I stepped into the health and wellness world in 2014 when I became a certified personal trainer. I started Balance You Personal Training and had a lot of fun running boot camps and small group fitness classes. What I learned most through that was how important consistency was. I didn't always feel like working out but I was the trainer so I had to show up every day. I saw many clients come and go and with that the struggles of starting over time and again. That's when it sunk in that our health and wellness needed to be a lifestyle and not just something to be achieved. 

Just as our bodies need movement, so does it need recovery. 

I got my Massage Therapy License in 2018 and Balance You Massage was born. I have since been using all that I know to help my clients not only alleviate their current aches and pains through massage and bodywork, but to help them learn about their own bodies and discover ways they can incorporate movement and recovery into their everyday lives so that they will never have to "start over" again. Turns out maintenance becomes easier the longer we do it.. but only as long as we do it.
